Tuvalu

The state of Tuvalu is a Polynesian formed by a group of nine atolls, formerly called Ellice Islands. It has maritime borders with Kiribati, north and northeast, with the New Zealand territory of Tokelau in the east, with Samoa, the southeast, with the French territory of Wallis and Futuna and Fiji to the south, also the south, and is strategically located in southern Oceania. To the west the nearest neighbor is the Solomon Islands, but the distance between the two groups of islands is quite large (about 900 square kilometers).
